Greek traffic police confiscate 19 licenses and impound 11 vehicles in a new campaign.
In an intensive campaign in the Ilion Petroupoli area traffic police managed to apprehend dozens of delivery drivers operating vehicles without a driving license as part of their ongoing efforts to ensure road safety.
The operations included 161 inspections which resulted in 59 recorded traffic violations including driving without a license not wearing seat belts and failing to wear protective helmets. Additionally 11 vehicle registrations and 19 driving licenses were revoked and 11 vehicles were impounded.
During the campaign delivery drivers working for commercial stores were caught riding motorcycles without a driving license representing a clear breach of traffic safety regulations.

The Greek police confirmed that such enforcement operations will continue with the same intensity and without respite to ensure the safety of citizens on the roads and they urged all drivers to fully comply with traffic laws.
