The death of a pregnant woman in Colonus raises a disturbing mystery: mysterious bruises and the arrest of her partner.
In a tragic scene that has once again brought domestic violence issues to the forefront a pregnant woman was found dead inside her home in the Kolonos area on Saturday triggering a wave of questions and concern among both the public and official authorities.
Security investigations moved swiftly as the victim’s partner was brought to the police station during the night hours before the summons turned into an official detention.
Despite this the man continues to insist that the death was accidental denying any criminal involvement.
Informed sources revealed the presence of visible bruises on the victim’s body opening the door to serious hypotheses. More concerning is the head injury which according to the preliminary assessment by the forensic doctor does not correspond to a simple fall further strengthening doubts about the accidental death narrative.

As part of efforts to deepen the investigation police are currently taking statements from the brother and father of the victim’s partner who is 38 years old in an attempt to build a clear picture of the events preceding the death.
An autopsy is scheduled to be conducted on Monday morning and is expected to be the decisive factor in determining the cause of death and the judicial course of the case.

The woman aged 31 was in her fourth month of pregnancy and was found unconscious. According to available information a 38yearold woman alerted emergency services but resuscitation attempts were unsuccessful and death was pronounced at the scene.
